Furniture assembly in Las Vegas, done in the room it lives in

A wardrobe that arrives in three flat boxes can take a full afternoon to build alone, and the instructions assume two sets of hands. Our furniture assembly in Las Vegas covers that kind of piece and the rest of the room: beds, dressers, nightstands, desks, bookcases and cribs.

We build where the piece will stand. A tall wardrobe assembled flat on the floor needs ceiling clearance to tilt upright, and some do not have it in a room with an 8-foot ceiling, so we measure the diagonal before the frame goes together.

Before the first screw, we lay out every panel and count the hardware against the parts list. A missing cam lock found early is a call to the retailer; found at step 40, it stalls the whole build.

Why tall pieces get anchored

The Consumer Product Safety Commission counted 581 tip-over deaths involving furniture, TVs or appliances since 2000 in its 2022 report, and 472 of them were children. Its advice is plain: anchor dressers, bookcases and TVs to the wall.

Larger dressers and chests made since September 2023 must meet a federal stability standard under the STURDY Act, but older pieces and bookcases fall outside it. The anti-tip strap in the box is only as good as what it is screwed into, so we fasten it to a stud or use a toggle rated for the load.

Older dressers and a TV on a low stand can be strapped during the same visit. Renters should clear wall anchors with the landlord, though the screw holes left behind are minor to fill. If you are expecting, our childproofing work can add gates and cabinet locks to the same visit.

Beds, cribs, desks and patio sets

Bed frames and bunk beds get every bolt snugged twice, once during the build and again once the mattress is on, since joints settle. Cribs follow the maker's instructions to the letter, with only the parts in the box; we do not drill, trim or substitute anything on a crib.

Standing desks come with motors, control boxes and cables that need slack for the full height range. We route and tie them so nothing pulls when the desk rises, and we check that the frame clears the wall, window sills and nearby shelves at full height.

Outdoor sets are built on the patio itself. Before you choose a spot, think about wind: the National Weather Service has recorded gusts of 58 mph or more at Las Vegas in every month of the year, so light chairs and umbrellas need weight or a sheltered corner.

What to have ready

Clear floor space about twice the footprint of the finished piece, and keep the boxes unopened if you can, so nothing gets lost. Have the product page or model number handy. If you also need a mirror hung in the bedroom, a TV mounted above the console, or shelves set in the office, add them to the same request.

Large orders, like furnishing a new rental or an office, go faster with a written list of every item and room. That lets us plan the order of work so beds are usable by night and the bulkiest pieces go up before the room fills.

  • We do, and moves are hard on particleboard: screw holes used twice often strip. We use slightly larger screws, wood glue and dowels where it is safe to, and we tell you when a joint is too far gone to trust.

  • We stop at that step, photograph the damage for your claim, and build everything that does not depend on the broken piece. Retailers usually ship replacement parts, and we can come back to finish.

  • Both are fine. Adjustable bases need an outlet within reach of the cord, and wall beds must be fastened to framing exactly as the maker specifies, because the whole frame swings on those fasteners. We check the wall before starting.

  • Someone should be there at the start to confirm placement and at the end to look over the finished pieces. In between, you are free to get on with your day.
