Interior painting in North Las Vegas, older homes first
Interior painting in North Las Vegas often means working over decades of earlier coats. Many houses around the original core were built from the 1950s into the 1970s, and they can carry oil-based enamel on trim, glossy kitchen walls and layers of patching from past owners. New latex peels off old oil enamel unless the surface is scuffed and primed with a bonding primer first.
Lead was still allowed in house paint until 1978. The EPA's renovation rule covers paid work that disturbs paint in homes built before then, so in those houses we skip dry sanding and open scraping, contain the work area, and clean with HEPA vacuums and wet wiping. Washing and recoating intact paint needs none of that.
