Kitchen remodel in North Las Vegas: two kinds of kitchens
Most requests for a kitchen remodel in North Las Vegas come from one of two places. One is the older housing around the original city core, much of it built between the 1950s and 1970s, where kitchens tend to be small, closed off and wired for far fewer appliances. The other is the master-planned stock from 1990 on, in Eldorado, Aliante and nearby, where the layout works but the cabinets, counters and lighting are original.
Each needs a different first visit. In the older homes we look at the panel, count the counter circuits and test the outlets before talking about cabinets. In the newer ones we start with the cabinet boxes, the condition of the sink base and whether the island can take a sink or cooktop.
