A part of town named by public vote
Centennial Hills got its name on January 17, 2001, after a public contest in which it beat Arrow Canyon and Tule Springs. The area sits in northwest Las Vegas with Summerlin to the south, North Las Vegas to the east and Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument to the north. A handyman in Centennial Hills works on two kinds of houses: those from the 1990s building boom and newer ones built from the 2000s on.
Housing data for the neighborhood counts more than 12,000 homes built in the 1990s, about 4,600 from the 2000s and close to 4,000 more since 2010. Skye Canyon and Providence, which have their own pages, belong to the same northwest corner.
